My workspace and its contents fluctuate. The way it is organized tends to reflect the type of work im doing. If a piece is all over the place and explosive, my supplies and organization are most likely going to be all over the place (perhaps with a sprinkle of explosion). On the other hand if I'm working on a grid intensive heavily organized piece, I try my hardest to have my workspace be the same. I recently got a SICK drafting table (img3), which has been nice, but the chair is approximately 30 feet high and is killer on my back, leading me to worry that im going to end up looking like (img4) by the time I turn 40.
The Crunchtime typeface was created with the upcoming halloween holidays in mind as well as utilizing my personal style. It’s main goal is to take something something so undesirable that most would scream and run away from, and turn it into a peice that entices you to lean forward to admire the detail and variant colorful splatters. It perhaps even arouses the subtle bittersweet satisfaction one feels after personally exterminating a pest. The complicated legibility invites the audience to take a closer look and notice the raw detail of each roaches composition from letter to letter. Crunchtime’s target audience spans from those creating a halloween party flyer, a daring pest control company, or anybody that just really hates cockroaches.
